Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Bakery supervisor to work our pies and tarts area with our new bakery Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in baking and a keen interest in food preparation. As a Bakery supervisor, you will support the bakery manager by assisting with various tasks, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • manage the preparation of our home made pies an tarts
  • Follow recipes accurately to create a quality product
  • Package/Bag baked goods
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met during food preparation and handling.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing work surfaces.
  • Assist in other food preparations as required
  • Support the head baker in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.

Skills

  • Experience or knowledge in using ovens and baking times.
  • Proficiency in food preparation techniques, including baking and cooking.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy kitchen environment..
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal

Contract length: 6-8 months

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
