The Junior Cashier position provides administrative support, such as reception and cashier services for the Recreation Complex.

Other Varied shifts: day, afternoon, evening and weekend hours

Job Description

• Prepare and balance daily bank deposits and daily revenue reports
• Provide administrative support to Recreation Complex supervisory staff
• Provide reception and cashier services for rentals, aquatics, fitness, squash and arena functions
• Provide exceptional customer service to all facility users via telephone, e-mail and in person
• Prepare paperwork for membership transactions/data entry and participates in the promotion of recreation programs
• Provide information in response to requests on available programs and services
• Establish and maintains a positive and welcoming image and environment for the public and staff
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills/Education Required

• Experience in a front line clerical position; ability to multi task while serving the public
• Demonstrated cash handling skills
• Demonstrated time-management skills; ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines effectively, with minimal supervision; deal with multiple demands
• Outstanding customer-service skills with demonstrated ability to "make a difference" in a customer's day
• Excellent oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff
• Demonstrated ability to function positively in team oriented situations
• Excellent record keeping skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, the internet and any other related software
• Upon a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal Record Check will be required
