**Job Brief**: The Junior Cashier position provides administrative support, such as reception and cashier services for the Recreation Complex. - Employment Status: **Permanent Part time** - Union: **CUPE 855 Inside** - Open To: **Internal/External Applicant(s)** - Closing Date: **22/07/2025** - Duration (if temporary): **N/A** Wage $22.09 - $23.89 hourly (2025) Reports To Supervisor, Recreation Complex Department Community Services Location Lindsay, ON Hours Part time up to 24 hours per week Other Varied shifts: day, afternoon, evening and weekend hours - Prepare and balance daily bank deposits and daily revenue reports - Provide administrative support to Recreation Complex supervisory staff - Provide reception and cashier services for rentals, aquatics, fitness, squash and arena functions - Prepare paperwork for membership transactions/data entry and participates in the promotion of recreation programs - Provide information in response to requests on available programs and services - Establish and maintains a positive and welcoming image and environment for the public and staff - Perform other related duties as assigned **Skills/Education Required** - Experience in a front line clerical position; ability to multi task while serving the public - Demonstrated cash handling skills - Demonstrated time-management skills; ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines effectively, with mínimal supervision; deal with multiple demands - Outstanding customer-service skills with demonstrated ability to "make a difference" in a customer's day - Excellent oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff - Demonstrated ability to function positively in team oriented situations - Excellent record keeping skills - Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, the internet and any other related software - Upon a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal Record Check will be required **Applicants must be prepared for aptitude testing.
