Content Writer

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Writer & Digital Asset Coordinator to join our team. This role combines content creation responsibilities with digital asset management duties, making it ideal for someone looking to develop both writing and digital organization skills. The successful candidate will create engaging content while maintaining our digital library and ensuring brand consistency across all materials.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation (70%)

• Write clear, engaging, and SEO-optimized content for websites, blogs, social media, and marketing materials
• Develop content for various formats, including articles, product descriptions, email campaigns, and social media posts
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to create cohesive content strategies
• Research industry trends and topics to inform content development
• Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand voice consistency
• Support content calendar planning and execution
• Assist with content performance analysis and optimization recommendations

Digital Asset Coordination (30%)

• Organize and maintain digital asset libraries, including images, videos, documents, and brand materials
• Implement and maintain consistent file naming conventions and folder structures
• Tag and categorize digital assets for easy searchability and retrieval
• Ensure all assets comply with brand guidelines and legal requirements
• Coordinate with creative teams to archive new assets and remove outdated materials
• Maintain version control for marketing materials and brand assets
• Support team members in locating and accessing digital resources
• Assist with digital asset audits and cleanup initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
• 1-3 years of professional content writing experience (agency, in-house, or freelance)
• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing diverse writing styles and formats
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management tools
• Experience creating content calendars and managing editorial schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with social media content creation and community management
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS and basic web development principles
• Track record of asset management and organization
• Analytics expertise (Google Analytics, SEMrush, social media insights) with reporting experience
• Hands-on experience with content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, or similar)
• Proven experience leading content initiatives
• Knowledge of research best practices including source evaluation and citation standards
• Strong research skills with ability to gather information from multiple sources and verify accuracy
• Proven experience with SEO content optimization and keyword research
• Previous experience with digital asset management platforms or file organization systems
• Working knowledge of file formats, image optimization, and digital workflow processes
