Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Prior experience in the food industry and familiarity with POS systems are preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food service, cash handling, and customer engagement within a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
  • Operate POS systems, for order processing and cash handling
  • Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
  • Ensure accurate cash transactions and proper cash handling procedures
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies throughout shifts
  • Provide friendly assistance to customers, answer questions about menu items, and promote specials or new products
  • Follow all food safety protocols to ensure quality and safety of food and beverages served

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
  • Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
