Head Barista

**Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Barista to join our team. As a Head Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organized workspace will contribute to the overall success of our café.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and Ensure all beverages are prepared and served to the highest standard, following recipes and quality control procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and responding to inquiries.
- Develop and refine coffee recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and preparation techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food service.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and restocking supplies as needed.
- Engage with customers and team members about in-store coffee offerings, demonstrating excellent knowledge of coffee origins, flavour notes, and brewing methods.
- Manage time effectively to fulfill customer orders promptly while maintaining quality.
- Stay-up-to-date on industry trends and new coffee products, making recommendations for menu updates.

**Skills and Qualification**
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Excellent knowledge of of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and specialty coffee products.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialty coffee environment, with at least year in supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Experience in cashiering or food service is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $18.75-$21.04 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
