The Director of Operations role is a pivotal position responsible for enhancing resident quality of life through compassionate, resident-centered care, while also ensuring operational efficiency and strategic alignment. With a focus on mentorship, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and team development, this role empowers leaders to make a meaningful impact across our Villages. Our new Director Of Operations will:

• Provide regional leadership and operational oversight to multiple Villages, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Monitor performance metrics (occupancy, financial results) to drive continuous improvement.
• Coach and develop General Managers in finance, people leadership, clinical operations, and sales.
• Ensure compliance with RHRA, MLTC, and all sector regulations.
• Foster a people-focused culture that supports talent development and embodies organizational values.
• Lead budgeting and strategic planning to support financial sustainability.
• Partner with teams to drive occupancy and promote lifestyle services across retirement and long-term care.
• Support labour relations and HR processes, including hiring, training, grievances, and retention.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external sector partners to achieve shared goals.

• Possesses strong operational knowledge, including HR policies, fiscal management, and relevant sector regulations (e.g., FLTCA, RHRA).

Education and Experience Requirement:

• Post-secondary degree from a program that is a minimum of three (3) years in duration or post-secondary diploma in health or social services from a program that is a minimum of two (2) years in duration
• Have at least three (3) years of leadership experience in the health or social services sector or if in another sector, has completed a program in long-term care home administration, considered an asset.
