About The Role
Reporting to our VP of Marketing & Growth, the Brand Designer sits on the Design team and is responsible for owning Baselane's creative pipeline and maintaining our brand across channels. You will own the creative direction for critical projects while producing industry-leading creative for both digital and physical assets. You will maintain the creative pipeline while keeping a high quality bar for all creative produced across the Marketing team. This role is extremely collaborative and will work across various teams including Brand, Content, Product, Growth, and Compliance.

As a member of our Brand Design team, you will have the opportunity to influence and own Baselane's creative strategy and brand presence. You'll leverage our unique data to inform and iterate on design decisions. You'll maintain the voice of the customer in our creative and your design strategy will be built from customer insights. What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop, design, and produce industry-leading creative concepts and digital and physical assets, including webpages, landing pages, ebooks, webinars, social media content, blog visuals, ad units, pamphlets, swag, and more
  • Develop creative direction for mission-critical projects that clearly and persuasively connects to our target audience
  • Quickly turn concepts into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes - collecting feedback from project stakeholders to refine designs while maintaining timelines
  • Use A/B testing, heatmaps, analytics, and other tools to inform and iterate on design decisions to improve performance metrics
  • Build and manage a team of freelancers to execute on pipeline of creative assets for the marketing team and other company stakeholders
  • Elevate Baselane's brand design across all touchpoints, ensuring a consistent and impactful experience for our target audience
  • Coordinate and maintain a library of branded assets, including photography, graphics, iconography, templates, and other company design content
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends to support leading design creation

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of design experience with 2+ years working in tech
  • You are an expert in Figma, Adobe Suite, and other design tools
  • You have a portfolio of standout designs that demonstrates your ability to elevate brand quality and deliver tangible business results
  • Experience in adapting work to perform across multiple contexts, including brand marketing, product marketing, paid media, and social channels
  • You're a self-starter and team collaborator with a degree and clear opinions on what quality design looks like
  • You're committed to understanding Baselane's customers and their pain points to influence your design strategy
  • You're an out-of-box problem-solver who is energized by navigating ambiguity and consistently delivering in a fast-paced, scrappy environment
  • You have demonstrated experience managing teams of design freelancers to deliver different types of creative on brand and on time
  • You're highly skilled at translating concepts and feedback into compelling visual and user-centeric designs
  • Experience creating a coherent design system across marketing and product
  • You have excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail while managing multiple, concurrent deadlines at once
  • You have a clear passion for creating exceptional, world-class design experiences for brands
