Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/ Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and presentation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for quality and safety.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food preparation and service.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on food handling and preparation techniques.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Breakfast experience an asset.
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and baking.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred.
  • A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that satisfy customers.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
