At Morning People Food Truck, we serve high-quality breakfast and lunch in one of the most vibrant neighbourhoods in town. We are looking for a skilled and passionate All Rounder with front and back of house experience, OR a keen interest to learn. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, loves the energy of a busy environment, and has a passion for creating delicious food, we want to hear from you

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare fresh ingredients daily, from chopping veggies to portioning meats and mixing up spices
  • Assist in meal prep and cooking alongside our Chef, bringing dishes to life with precision and care
  • Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality food
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, keeping your workstation organized and spotless
  • Maintain top-notch cleanliness and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and smooth service
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation to ensure we're always ready to serve
  • Operate our point of sale, bringing a friendly and outgoing personality while engaging with customers, delivery drivers, and staff
  • Package food for take out and delivery - ensuring order accuracy

What You Bring:

  • Experience in a kitchen environment, especially as a short-order cook
  • A love for cooking and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and stay cool under pressure
  • A positive, friendly attitude and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Flexibility to work Wednesday through Sunday, with shifts that accommodate our busy hours
