In addition to exceptional coffee, we're proud to be one of Vancouver's favourite spots for cheesecake. Our signature recipe produces a light, flavourful cheesecake available in a variety of flavours, sold by the slice or whole, in two sizes.

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Barista/All Rounder to join our team at the 2607 Renfrew Street, Vancouver, BC V5M 3K4 - close to Renfrew Skytrain Station location. This role goes beyond just making great coffee, it's about creating a welcoming atmosphere, delivering top-tier customer service, and taking pride in everything from espresso shots to cheesecake slices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
  • Efficiently operate the POS system to handle customer transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Assist in food preparation and serving as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
  • Uphold food safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 1 year of relevant barista experience and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be available for flexible scheduling, weekdays closing, weekends including holidays.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices in food handling and preparation. Completion of BC Food Safe Level 1 certification is an asset.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Taking orders and providing excellent customer service.
  • Opening and closing the shop.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
  • Ensure food safety standards are met during food preparation and handling.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including workstations and equipment.
  • Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions about menu items.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience.

Pay: $17.85 per hour
