Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Engineer in Training to join our team in Delta, BC. The ideal candidate will assist with the design and detailing of bridges, bridge components, and steel structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modelling and design of steel components such as bridge bearings
- Design of pedestrian bridges
- Design of structures to the relevant design code (CSA S16-14 and the BC building code)
- Design and detailing of bolted and welded steel connections
- Conduct field reviews of completed work
- Assist and provide input in preparing quotes
- Assist with research and development of new products
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in the use of structural analysis, finite element analysis and detailing software
- Proficient in 3D modeling and CAD
- Demonstrate written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Required Training and Experience:
- Degree in civil engineering
