Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers have a delightful shopping experience, showcasing your knowledge of our products and promoting sales through effective upselling techniques.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting bakery items.
  • Prepare and package baked goods while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and restocking items as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the bakery department.
  • Able to put away large stock orders

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Experience in food preparation and handling, preferably within the food industry or restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
