Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our customers have a delightful shopping experience and receive high-quality baked goods.

Duties

  • Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and up selling products when appropriate.
  • Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. .
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, adhering to sanitation standards at all times.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking shelves as needed to ensure product availability.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours while managing time effectively.
  • Utilize POS system for processing transactions and managing customer orders efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or a bakery setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of food handling practices and safety regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and provide assistance as needed.
  • Strong time management skills, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with POS systems.
