Locum - Family Medicine - Lower Sackville

AH Medical Clinic is a collaborative family practice consisting of six dedicated family physicians and one family practice nurse who work together to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. The clinic utilizes the Med Access EMR system to streamline documentation and support coordinated care across the team. With a focus on continuity, accessibility, and a supportive work environment, the physicians and nursing staff collaborate closely to meet the diverse needs of their patients while maintaining a collegial and efficient clinic atmosphere.

AH Medical Clinic is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from January 12 to February 26, 2026.

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

• All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
