We are currently looking for an HSE Advisor to become an X-PERT on our team in Nisku, Alberta. The successful candidate will reside in Edmonton or the surrounding area.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Act as the primary internal safety resource, collaborating with third-party safety consultants, and supervisors.
• Maintain and enhance the HSE management program, ensuring compliance with regulations and client requirements.
• Lead safety program change initiatives, ensuring processes are being followed by all.
• Foster a strong safety culture through communication, training, and engagement initiatives.
• Monitor workplace safety practices, conduct inspections, participate in audits, and drive continuous improvement.
• Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage digital safety systems to track compliance and safety performance.
• Support safety certification processes and ensure regulatory readiness.
• Deliver the X-FACTOR experience through excellence, expertise and extraordinary service

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role, or safety leadership as part of a team, with exposure to both corporate and field environments.
• A good understanding of Canadian and HSE regulations, with experience conducting safety investigations and implementing corrective actions. Knowledge of USA regulations is an asset.
• Actively working towards CRSP certification is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in digital safety management systems such as ComplyWorks, Avetta, and ISNetworld.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to assess workplace hazards and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
• Strong presentation skills to lead training and safety meetings.
• A clean criminal background check.
• Ability to travel within Canada and USA; must have a valid class 5 driver's license and passport

PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Participate in pre-employment, pre-access, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing. This position is considered safety sensitive.
• Understand, comply with, and be able to lead others in following X-Group's safety policies, safe work practices, procedures, and rules.
• Wear required safety equipment and personal protective devices, including clothing mandated by legislation and the employer.
• Take every reasonable precaution to protect the safety of other workers and oneself.
• Lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Maintain a valid Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract.
• Maintain a clean criminal background check.
