Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our industrial plant site maintenance team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, backhoes with precision and safety.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on site.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic repairs or report problems to maintenance personnel.
  • Must be available to work overtime hours for snow removal.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Mechanical knowledge is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Safety minded.
  • Must have own vehicle - no public transportation to site.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
