Summary of responsibilities:
The Senior Advisor, Training Sustainability is responsible for leading a project on the national review of CATSA's training processes, systems, and recurrent programs. The role focuses on enhancing efficiency, ensuring consistency, and supporting a sustainable, integrated approach to training delivery across CATSA. The Senior Advisor, Training Sustainability, performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Adult Education, Training, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Operations Management, or another discipline relevant to the duties of the position, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in project and program management, process improvement, or organizational effectiveness within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated experience mapping and analyzing end-to-end business processes or workflows to identify efficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize complex, multi-source information into actionable recommendations.
- Experience engaging and facilitating collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups, including operations, training, and senior management.
- Experience planning and managing complex projects, preparing reports, presentations, visual documentation and briefing materials for decision-making at the management or executive level.
This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities:
- Skilled in analyzing complex data and processes, translating insights into strategic, practical recommendations.
- Strong understanding of digital transformation and process modernization, including the use of automation, system integration, and technology solutions to enhance training or operational efficiency.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities, delivering high-quality results under tight timelines with a high level of accuracy and data integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing clear reports, frameworks, and presentations for senior audiences.
- Proven ability to influence, build consensus, and facilitate collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experienced in business process analysis, change management, and continuous improvement.
- Balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, exercising sound judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive or complex information.
- Adaptable to evolving technologies, systems, and organizational priorities; able to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
Specific work requirements:
- Language Profile: English Essential;
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Résumé des responsabilités
Le conseiller principal, Durabilité de la formation, est chargé de diriger un projet d'examen national des processus, des systèmes et des programmes récurrents de formation de l'ACSTA. Son rôle consiste principalement à améliorer l'efficacité, à assurer la cohérence et à soutenir une approche durable et intégrée de la prestation de la formation au sein de l'ACSTA. Le conseiller principal, Durabilité de la formation, s'acquitte de toutes les autres tâches et responsabilités liées au poste, au besoin.
Pour pouvoir prétendre à ce poste, vous devez avoir:
- Diplôme d'une université ou d'un collège reconnu avec une spécialisation en éducation des adultes, en formation, en administration des affaires, en développement organisationnel, en gestion des opérations ou dans un autre domaine lié aux fonctions du poste, ou une combinaison équivalente d'études, de formation et d'expérience;
- Au moins six ans d'expérience de la gestion de projets et de programmes, de l'amélioration des processus ou de l'efficacité organisationnelle dans un environnement complexe impliquant de multiples intervenants;
- Expérience avérée de la cartographie et de l'analyse de processus opérationnels ou de flux de travail de bout en bout afin de repérer les gains d'efficacité et les possibilités d'amélioration;
- Solides compétences en matière d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes, y compris la capacité à synthétiser des informations complexes provenant de sources multiples en recommandations exploitables;
- Expérience dans la mobilisation et la facilitation de la collaboration entre divers groupes d'intervenants, notamment les opérations, la formation et la haute direction;
- Expérience dans la planification et la gestion de projets complexes, la préparation de rapports, de présentations, de documentation visuelle et de documents d'information pour la prise de décision au niveau de la direction ou de la haute direction.
