We are immediately seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to join our team at the Coast Kamloops Hotel & Conference Centre. This unique individual must possess excellent communication skills in customer relations to positively impact existing relationships and target new business. They will develop and solidify relationships to boost hotel sales and customer satisfaction.JOB EXPECTATIONS:• Target new business opportunities through direct outside sales efforts• Build and maintain relationships within all markets for both individual and group travel. This includes upkeep of our database to share efforts, successes and further opportunities with the greater sales team• Develop and promote product image and awareness thru direct marketing campaigns and attendance of key market tradeshows and events• Gain knowledge of hotel's opportunities through successfully collaborating with catering sales• Gain knowledge of all hotels in our portfolio and cross-sell at any opportunity• Prepare sales proposals & contracts to clients incorporating clearly defined terms and conditions• Establish an effective sales call cycle for key customers, prospecting, selling and follow up• Maintain a clear line of communication with other team members to ensure success in guest satisfaction• Respond in a quick, timely, and professional manner to all internal partners and external customers with clear and concise communications• Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needsESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:• Committed to exceeding guest expectations• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilize a variety of hotel & sales computer software applications • Superior written and oral communication skills• Excellent organizational and time management skills, to self prioritize• Able to work in a fast-paced environment• An outgoing personality with a friendly, sincere, approachable & energetic spirit• Responsible, accountable and detail oriented• A minimum of two years hotel sales experience and an excellent network of contacts are ideal• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle• No criminal recordSUMMATION:Submission of resume does not guarantee an interview.
