What you'll do

  • Install vinyl siding according to project specifications and blueprints, ensuring a perfect fit and finish.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing materials.
  • Read and interpret construction schematics to accurately execute installation plans.
  • Collaborate with team members on-site to ensure timely project completion while maintaining safety standards.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation process, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
  • Conduct restoration work as needed, including caulking and trim carpentry for a polished final appearance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction or maintenance person roles with a focus on vinyl siding installation.
  • Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of construction estimating.
  • Familiarity with various construction techniques including masonry, framing, and roofing.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with concrete forming, metal stud framing, plumbing, welding, tile laying, and stucco applications.
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes related to siding installation.
  • Previous experience in restoration projects or remodeling is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.75-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Edmonton, AB (T5J): reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
