Job Overview

Looking for a bookkeeper for our retail store. Must have Shopify knowledge. Should only take a few hours per week so this could definitely be a side job.

Duties

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using software such as QuickBooks and Shopify.
  • Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
  • Assist with payroll reporting
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit purposes
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed for management review

Experience

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within a similar industry (both in store and online retail)
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
  • Experience with account reconciliation, account analysis, and budgeting is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with payroll compliance requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this role

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 4 per week

Work Location: In person
