The Director of Operations is a driving force behind ECL's next stage of operational excellence and growth. Key Responsibilities:

Operational Planning & Execution

  • Translate corporate strategy into actionable operational plans with a strong focus on execution.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure seamless flow across purchasing, materials, fabrication, shipping, and customer service.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement structured routines for performance tracking and accountability.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives in fabrication through resource optimization and waste elimination.

Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate Lean initiatives across all operational areas in direct support of the Continuous Improvement team.
  • Champion a PDCA and Kata mindset while embedding structured problem-solving and continuous learning.
  • Lead process optimization projects to reduce cycle time, scrap, and labor inefficiencies.
  • Support digital transformation for transparency and real-time operational insights.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Ensure 100% on-time delivery and zero non-conformances for key accounts.
  • Integrate operational standards that enhance product quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with customer service and production teams to improve responsiveness and retention.
  • Align operations with customer expectations for premium value and consistent performance.

People Development

  • Coach managers and supervisors in systems thinking, leadership, and problem-solving.
  • Implement onboarding and leadership development programs, including Growth-to-Leadership 4 Pillars.
  • Foster a culture of learning through SKA3 circles, Kata routines, and reflective practices.
  • Promote cross-training and workforce versatility to enhance adaptability and resilience.

Strategic Leadership

  • Set direction and align cross-functional teams to deliver breakthrough results.
  • Serve as a visible role model for ECL's values of transparency, teamwork, and results.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that strengthen customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitability.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, supply chain, or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of operational planning, supply chain processes, and manufacturing workflows.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean methodologies, including PDCA, Kata routines, TPS principles, and continuous improvement systems.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and cost optimization.
  • Understanding of process improvement methods, waste elimination techniques, and efficiency drivers.
  • Familiarity with KPI tracking, performance management, and operational analytics.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and digital operational tools, with preference for Epicor Kinetics.
  • Experience with Epicor Kinetics, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma is considered an asset.
  • Awareness of quality standards, non-conformance management, and customer performance requirements.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to turn strategy into clear, actionable operational plans.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience developing managers and frontline supervisors.
  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret data, assess performance trends, and guide decisions.
  • Skilled in leading Lean initiatives, process optimization projects, and cross-functional improvements.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build alignment.
  • Effective conflict-resolution skills that support constructive dialogue and team cohesion.
  • Proficient with ERP systems, operational software, and digital tools used in manufacturing environments.

Working Conditions

  • Work takes place in both office and production environments.
  • Regular computer-based tasks involving planning, analysis, and operational coordination.
  • Frequent presence on the production floor to conduct GEMBA walks, observe processes, and support teams.
  • Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility based on operational priorities.
  • Occasional travel may be required for supplier meetings, customer visits, training, or industry-related events.
  • Moderate physical activity, including walking, standing, and navigating manufacturing areas.
  • Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment when in designated production zones.

Pay: $95,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
