The Sawmill Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of safety and production of the sawmill. The role will be a member of the leadership team at the mill.

You'll Do

  • Achieving production goals with the highest regard and adherence to employee safety
  • Managing and motivating the hourly workforce in the assigned areas
  • Effective evaluation and continuous improvement of processes

You Have

  • Prior experience as a supervisor or lead hand
  • Demonstrative safety leadership
  • Excellent team-building and motivational skills
  • Understanding of accounting and financial metrics for a mill operation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Understands and demonstrates quality-control processes
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Lumber grading certification
  • Wood products experience with any of the following: Planning, Sawmilling, Drying
