Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Supervisor to lead our store team and ensure exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven track record in retail management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and contribute to the store's growth and success. Bilingual abilities and prior experience in sales management or supervising teams are highly valued. The Retail Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining store standards, driving sales, and fostering a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily store operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service
  • Lead, motivate, and manage retail staff to meet sales goals and uphold company standards
  • Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and product placement to maximize sales potential
  • Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks accurately
  • Recruit, interview, train, and develop new team members to build a strong workforce
  • Manage payroll processing and administrative duties related to staff management
  • Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with purchasing decisions, and coordinate stock replenishment
  • Enforce store policies regarding customer service, safety protocols, and store cleanliness
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching for team development
  • Utilize negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing agreements
  • Maintain effective communication with staff and upper management to ensure alignment on store objectives

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising or managerial experience in retail or related fields
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Proficiency in merchandising, POS systems, cash handling, and bookkeeping software
  • Knowledge of retail sales strategies, pricing techniques, and sales management principles
  • Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and marketing within a retail environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong math skills for cash handling and financial recordkeeping
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and time management skills
  • Familiarity with administrative processes including payroll processing and inventory control
