Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional nutritional care within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food service, and sanitation to ensure residents and patients receive nutritious and safe meals. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to enhancing the well-being of those we serve.

Duties

  • Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
  • Serve meals to residents or patients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
  • Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality standards are met
  • Help with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining spaces
  • Support the dietary team with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
  • Assist with special dietary needs and modifications under supervision
  • Maintain a friendly attitude while providing excellent customer service to residents or patients

Experience

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food service operations is advantageous
  • Familiarity with food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations is beneficial
  • Experience in kitchen work, meal preparation, or serving roles is a plus
  • Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during shifts
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.12-$23.86 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Work Location: In person
