Position Summary:

Western Mechanical Electrical Millwright Services Ltd. is seeking a full-time Industrial Mobile Equipment Mechanic at our company in Barrie, Ontario. The department oversees maintenance for our company forklifts and lifting devices. 5-10 years of related experience is required. Work will vary from one project to another.

Applicants Must:

  • Work well independently and in a team environment,
  • Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and
  • Have a willingness to learn/build on previous experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have previous experience that demonstrates their ability to accomplish tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Preform required services on equipment powered by propane, diesel, or electric.
  • Responsible for routine maintenance, preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Use diagnostic tools to trouble shoot and complete repairs accordingly.
  • Ensure repairs are documented and records are retained in accordance to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting and operation of machinery.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

License:

  • Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician (421A)(an asset)
  • Ontario G Class driver's license (required)
  • 5-10 years of related experience (required)

Term, Hours of Work and Compensation:

  • This is a full-time position
  • 44 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
  • The role is entitled to vacation pay and paid statutory holidays
  • We expect to compensate the successful candidate at hourly rates consistent with market expectations and based on experience
