Progressive Auto Group is hiring a Content Creator / Social Media Specialist — a hands-on role focused on planning, shooting, editing, and publishing engaging content across our four dealerships and body shop.
This role is perfect for someone who loves short-form video, photography, and social media, and who wants to see their work make a real impact on brand visibility, inventory marketing, service promotions, and community engagement.

At Progressive Auto Group, you'll work directly with our marketing team and dealership staff to create authentic, local content that represents our brands. You'll collaborate with the Marketing Manager and dealership teams to ensure consistent messaging and content strategy across all social platforms. This is a great role for someone who enjoys creativity, organization, and seeing their content in action across multiple brands.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Shoot and edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)
- Capture vehicle walkarounds, feature highlights, delivery moments, service tips, and behind-the-scenes dealership content
- Take high-quality photos and videos of vehicles, staff, and dealership spaces
- Create basic motion graphics or text overlays when needed
Platform Management
- Post and manage organic content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn
- Ensure content aligns with each brand's tone and style (BMW vs Ford vs Volkswagen vs Used vs Body Shop)
Planning & Collaboration
- Help build and maintain a monthly content calendar
- Coordinate with sales, service, and management teams for content ideas
- Work alongside the in-house long-form video content creator to clip content for shorts
- Stay on top of social trends while keeping content brand-appropriate
- Repurpose content efficiently across platforms while maintaining quality
Brand Coverage
- Support five distinct brands while maintaining consistency and quality
- Balance premium (BMW), mass-market (Ford/VW), used inventory, and collision repair content
What We're Looking For
Required
- Proven experience creating social media content (portfolio required)
- Strong video shooting and editing skills (phone-based is fine)
- Comfortable being on camera and directing others
- Experience with
- CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar
- Canva, or basic design tools
- Strong understanding of short-form content
- Valid driver's license to move between locations
Nice to Have
- Automotive or dealership experience
- Experience with project management tools like ClickUp
- Basic photography and lighting knowledge
- Copywriting or caption-writing experience
Success Looks Like
- Consistent, high-quality content posted weekly across all brands
- Growth in organic reach, engagement, and brand visibility
- Strong library of evergreen vehicle and service content
- Organized and proactive with content calendar
- Ownership of short-form content strategy
- Dealership staff comfortable and engaged with content creation
- Clear brand distinction between each dealership
What We Offer
- Compensation: $40,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time, with occasional evenings and weekends
