Job Summary
Support the testing and refurbishment of Semtech devices returned from the field, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) requests.

Execute daily RMA repair operations, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of test systems. Perform detailed device triage, technical verification, functional validation, and final quality control inspections to confirm all returned units meet performance and quality standards.

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipping logistics, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in RMA databases and tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the rework process for customer RMA returns while delivering high-quality repair services to both local and overseas clients. Operate RMA repair line equipment to perform comprehensive daily testing and repair activities, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer RMA requests and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Process and follow up customer service orders, database entry and logistics problem solving.
  • Conduct repair line updates, moves, new setups following Semtech RMA process. Identify and escalate repair line problems/issues
  • Work with other departments such as Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Product Management to ensure timely resolution of customer requests and problems.
  • Collaborate with quality and factory team to conduct failure mode analysis when required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years' relevant work experience in enterprise technology operations or customer service, developing and managing customer relationships
  • Experience in the field of electronics manufacturing test, equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication technology. Working experience with basic RF measurement techniques. Familiar with the operation of RF test equipment, such as RF power meter, signal generator. 4G/5G cellular device testing is a desired asset.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English. Good communication skills with various tools, such as email and MS Teams.
  • Microsoft Office skills for documentation.
  • Highly analytical, passionate technician with strong customer service orientation. Must demonstrate genuine care for quality workmanship and possess excellent problem-solving abilities to effectively resolve customer issues. Self-motivated, organized, patient, and skilled in customer communication.
  • A good team player and willing to work under pressure

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate (2 years diploma) or Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering
  • Knowledge of test equipment with GPIB control
  • Lab computer experience, including test program installation, debugging; Ethernet connection setup.
