With five locations across Canada we are a leader in the railway power tool and industrial supply industry.We have an opportunity for the right person to join our dynamic team in Winnipeg.Position: Shop Supervisor/Power Tool Mechanic– Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week.Responsibilities:Supervise employees in a mechanical or retail sales environmentManage day to day business processes, customer supportPerform repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment and power toolsTroubleshoot hydraulic, electrical and mechanical problemsProvide on-site support in retail sales and customer serviceOrder appropriate parts and supplies to expedite the repair processComplete and create work orders in a computer-based system (Netsuite)Assist in housekeeping duties in the office, yard and shop as requiredAssist with shipping and receiving materials as requiredUsing a forklift to offload and load shipments as required (training provided)The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:Minimum 2 years as small engine mechanic or similar mechanical experience (Automotive, Heavy equipment)Experience in supervision in a mechanical shop environmentAble to work independently with remote supervisionExperience with 2 cycle (Sthil, Husqvarna), 4 cycle engines (Briggs and Stratton, Honda)Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical circuitsClass 5 driver's license, reliable transportationRailroad maintenance experience is an assetExcellent communication skills (written and oral), comfortable with collaborating onlinePhysically able to lift >50lbsWhat we offer:Competitive starting wage based on experience.Monday – Friday weekends offMedical and Dental benefits after 3 monthsPaid vacation after one full year, paid sick daysSafe work environment, training providedAdvanced Training, Sthil, hydraulics and related competenciesA dynamic work group in a company with a high employee retentionJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $28.00-$33.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:Dental careExtended health careOn-site parkingPaid time offWork Location: In person
