Our office is looking for a Full Time Accounting Technician to join the Assurance & Accounting team and own the following responsibilities:

  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Communicate with clients on administrative matters and provide functional advice to other team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Your experience and education

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting technician role
  • Completed a diploma or certificate in Accounting or Business
  • Experience and knowledge with Microsoft Suite programs, and Caseware
  • Experience preparing T4s and T5s. Knowledge of personal and corporate tax
  • Value client service and quality in detailed work
  • Display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands and multiple tasks with keeping an awareness of deadlines critical to client service
