Overview

STS Pain Pharmacy is seeking part-time Mobile Outreach Workers to support vulnerable individuals in downtown Victoria through medication delivery, harm reduction, and community outreach.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mobile Outreach Worker to serve diverse communities by providing essential health and social services directly in the field. This role involves engaging with individuals, especially those with disabilities or facing health challenges, to promote wellness, facilitate access to resources, and support positive behavioral changes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a background in healthcare or social services, and a passion for community outreach. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through mobile and client-focused support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide community outreach and direct client support to promote medication adherence.
  • Assess client needs and support connections to appropriate health and social services.
  • Accompany clients to medical, hospital, and specialist appointments.
  • Assist with basic wound care (training provided as needed).
  • Respond to overdoses and provide emergency support as required.
  • Deliver prescription medications and harm reduction supplies to unhoused and underhoused individuals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and community organizations to coordinate care plans.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations while managing sensitive client information.

Requirements

  • Valid BC driver's license.
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to serve underserved populations.
  • Background in Health Services and Human/Social Services field (preferred but not required).
  • Experience working with people with disabilities or in addiction is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to collect data accurately using digital tools or paper documentation methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in diverse community settings while maintaining professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work in various environments.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
