We're seeking a dedicated Care Aide for an ongoing, long-term position supporting a client with a high-level spinal cord injury.

The Role: Ongoing Wednesday Day Shift

We are looking for a caring and experienced Care Aide to join our established team for a consistent, ongoing schedule:

  • Ongoing Wednesday Day Shifts: 8:30am to 6:30pm (10 hour shift)
  • Training Start Date:As soon as possible Regular Ongoing Wednesday Schedule Start Date: January 7, 2026
  • Location: Primarily West Vancouver (Year-round) with occasional travel to Langley (Seasonal; occasional summer weekends - travel subsidies provided).
  • Flexibility: Option to pick up additional casual 10-hour day or 12-hour night shifts when available (coverage shifts are often regularly available to pick up)
What You'll Be Doing

You will work closely with the on-shift Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse to provide exceptional, holistic care in a supportive, two-person team environment.

  • Proactively assist the Nurse with positioning, mechanical transfers, cough assist machine use, and break relief.
  • Provide comprehensive personal care (skin care, catheter/ileostomy bag management, feeding, showering).
  • Maintain and clean specialized equipment and restock supplies.
  • Assist the client with mobilizing in their power wheelchair.
  • Assist with meal preparation and homemaking tasks.
Your Expertise & Our Support

You are a Compassionate and Reliable professional with a strong interest or experience in Spinal Cord Injury care, including vent and tracheostomy care.

  • Requirements: Certified Care Aide (or Internationally Trained Registered Nurse) with an Active BC Registry Number in Good Standing.
  • Training: Full, paid, online and in-person training shifts are provided, including Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program (PROP) Training and access to a full team of supporting nurses.

  • Hourly Pay: $28.00– $30.00 per hour (dependent on experience).

  • For Care Aides with ample vent and trach experience, there's an opportunity to train to be a Lead on the team with a pay rate increase of ~25% the Care Aide rate (thorough training and delegation of task process followed).

  • RRSP: 5% of annual salary provided towards an RRSP.
  • Health: Extended health and dental coverage.
  • Time Off: 3 weeks of vacation and 5 paid wellness/sick days per year.
