Job Overview

The Blade Manager is responsible for the management of Muehlhan Wind Service Canada's blade service activities and teams. This role includes quoting and planning blade projects, procuring materials and equipment, supporting recruitment and training of blade technicians, providing technical expertise, and overseeing project execution. The successful candidate will be a subject-matter expert in wind turbine blade services with strong organizational and leadership capabilities.

This position may be remote anywhere across Canada, with regular visits to project sites and Muehlhan Wind Service Canada Head Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all blade service operations, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations
  • Prepare and review quotes, scopes of work, and project budgets for our blade projects
  • Source and procure blade repair materials, tools, and equipment
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance for blade repair methods and best practices
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of blade technicians
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Support project scheduling, resource planning, and logistics
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support field teams during project execution
  • Maintain documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Support client communication and technical discussions related to blade services
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and project team members

Experience

  • Extensive experience in wind turbine blade inspection and repair
  • Proven experience managing blade service projects and teams
  • Strong understanding of blade repair materials, processes, and tooling
  • Experience in tendering process and managing project budgets
  • Ability to provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required
  • Proficiency with project management and reporting tools
  • Proven blade repair certifications
  • Experience working with multiple turbine OEM platforms
  • Supervisory or management experience in blade services
  • Safety Certifications: CSTS-2020, WHMIS-2015
  • ACSA-LOTO would be an asset

Conditions of Employment

  • This position is a safety sensitive position. Employees will be required to obtain a negative Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Test. ** Further testing may be required throughout employment to meet various policy or client requirements. **
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License, must meet MWS Driver Risk Matrix

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
