Position Overview

Truewaste is currently hiring a D-Class Truck Driver to handle daily waste collection and transportation using company vehicles. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and customer-focused with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

  • Valid D-Class license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum [3 years] experience driving D-Class vehicles (required).
  • Knowledge of safe driving practices and provincial regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Experience in waste or recycling industry is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate D-Class trucks to collect and transport waste and recycling materials.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
  • Follow designated routes and schedules while maintaining efficiency and safety.
  • Interact professionally with customers, ensuring quality service.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Keep trucks clean and properly maintained.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork or digital logs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $26.00-$29.00 per hour

Additional pay:

  • Bonus pay
  • Tips

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Commercial driving: 3 years (required)
  • D class license: 3 years (required)
