Duties:

  • Welcome our guests during the arrival process, collecting & confirming pertinent guest information, and ensuring our reality meets their expectations.
  • Work in a consistent "Safe Work Practice" manner at all times
  • Works closely with the Driver and Bell person to ensure a seamless arrival and departure experience.
  • Creates a memorable arrival and departure experience by providing a personalized check in and check out experience.
  • Reviews arrivals list for the day and checks VIP notes and special requests
  • Upsells rooms whenever possible to achieve the highest possible room rate
  • Maintains a balanced float assigned by the hotel. Reconcile all transactions at the end of each shift.
  • Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, in-house events, directions, etc.
  • Answers internal and external telephone inquiries in an efficient and friendly manner, following hotel telephone etiquette guidelines and using guest names when possible.
  • Accepts reservations, changes, and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department Staff.
  • Perform all Night Audit duties, including but not limited to the posting of room and tax charges, balancing and reconciliation of accounts, ensuring all rooms have sufficient chip & pin credit card pre-authorization, and Open Folios are closed or escalated to MODs or other departments for follow-up,
  • Have a consistent and constant Front Desk presence throughout your shift until AM EA arrives in the morning.
  • Communicate Daily with FOM to report any pending discrepancies & Report any unusual activities or events overnight.
  • Monitoring emails and confirm that all emails and inquiries have been completed or are forwarded to the appropriate departments.
  • Make a last impression on departure, settling final accounts, offering your personal assistance on future reservations, and taking immediate ownership of any concerns.
  • Go the extra mile, responding to guest inquiries with ease & finesse and performing in an intuitive manner that stirs the guest's soul.
  • Ensure all inquiries are reported to appropriate departments in the interest of continued guest satisfaction.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly
  • Possess an eye for the smallest detail and maintains a keen sense of urgency
  • Maintain a flexible performance schedule to accommodate the operational needs of a 24/7 hotel environment
  • Enthusiastic, participate in a supportive team environment, offer suggestions that will help us continually strengthen what we do
  • Must have a passion for delivering outstanding service.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, responsible and driven to achieve goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think independently, possess good judgment, proven problem-solving skills, and effective decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
  • Fluent in English. Proficiency of a secondary language would be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with property management systems would be an added advantage.
  • College education in Hospitality preferred or equivalent experience.

Work Conditions:
