The Opportunity:

Goliath Energy is actively seeking a 3rd year or 4th year / Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic for our busy Grande Prairie or Red Deer shop. We offer a Monday to Friday schedule, with consistent overtime. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gain working knowledge of Goliath's equipment
  • Assist Sr. Mechanic as directed while doing your job safely and efficiently
  • Review all job Safety analysis and Safe working procedures: Be "Goliath Safe"
  • Complete regular maintenance, keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Maintain and keep a clean and orderly work environment at all times

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4th Year Heavy Duty Mechanic with relevant experience is referred
  • Exceptional 3rd year apprentices with direct experience would be considered
  • Snubbing / Service Rig Experience a significant asset
  • Grande Prairie or Red Deer candidates preferred; open to strong candidates for rotation
  • Valid, Clean Class 5 drivers license at minimum
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment testing (Drug & Alcohol)
  • Individuals with rural backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply
