Simplii Financial is transforming how millions of Canadians manage their money and the Product team is central to the Simplii organization. We turn complexity into clarity – working across design, operations, engineering, analytics, compliance, and risk – to build features that solve real human problems.

As an integral member of Simplii's Product Management team reporting to the Vice President, the Senior Director, Financial Products, will own a broad portfolio of everyday financial products, from chequing and savings accounts to payments. You will lead the product vision and strategy, drive measurable growth, and build a strong team of product leaders and product managers to deliver meaningful customer outcomes.

This is a senior product leadership role that requires an ownership mindset and bias to action. You will set a clear direction and empower your team to build new products and scale existing ones, navigating ambiguity and overcoming barriers with resourcefulness and resolve. Accountability for outcomes is paramount—both for the business and the development of your people.

At Simplii Financial, we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
What You'll Do

  • Strategy development - Articulate a compelling vision and crystallize a strategy to achieve, evangelizing the story to your team and stakeholders. Set and execute the product roadmap, informed by customer insights, business priorities, and careful judgment about trade-offs. Lead product development end-to-end, with relentless focus on usability, reliability, and delight. Own the P&L for your portfolio, driving profitable growth while managing risk and compliance in a regulated environment.
  • People leadership - Build, coach, and develop product managers to foster strong individual ownership and collective impact. Champion a culture of high agency where teams are trusted to act, innovate, and iterate with autonomy and discipline.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 12+ years of work experience leading product teams within fintech, software or financial services, managing complex portfolios with P&L responsibility. You have experience building and leading product teams, building and shipping products at scale.
  • You can demonstrate in-depth experience and ability to grow product lines through strategic thinking, customer obsession, and clear execution, not through pricing & marketing alone.
  • You can demonstrate strong grasp of Canadian regulatory frameworks with experience embedding compliance and risk considerations into product decisions.
  • You can demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities with proven capacity to translate complex market dynamics into actionable business strategies and measurable outcomes. Advanced data interpretation skills with experience using analytics platforms, business intelligence tools, and customer insights to drive product decisions and optimize performance metrics.
  • Your influence makes a difference. Outstanding communication and presentation skills for executive audiences, board reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with ability to influence outcomes across all organizational levels. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously while delivering high-quality results under aggressive timelines and resource constraints and exceptional ability to build and leverage strategic relationships both internally and externally, driving consensus and collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups to achieve ambitious business objectives.
