Report to: Sr. Supply Chain manager

Responsibilities

• Verify storage conditions and offload materials received from suppliers or other warehouses and stage materials for kitting and production based on the daily published schedules.
• Ensure production materials have the correct information and are properly secured and labeled prior to being returned to the other warehouses or supplier.
• Ensure continuous movement of production materials at the Kipling site as there should be no more than one day of production requirements at Kipling; on-hold materials are placed in designated areas in the warehouse; and inventory is updated daily.
• Collaborate with the other warehouses to ensure materials are at Kipling one day prior to production start.
• Lead Material Handlers assigned to the area and always have sufficient coverage so that production is not interrupted.
• Meet with the Operations Leader and planning team daily to review production requirements and any material issues with them.
• Participate and run a daily huddle with Material Handlers, reviewing performance of the team including Health & Safety, Food Safety, GMP, and Quality goals.
• Observe all Safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.
• Maintain strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
• Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
• Other duties as assigned.

Profile

• 1+ years of work experience in industrial environment, retail, or logistics, and a quality system is required
• College or Technical School Diploma is a strong asset
• Prior experience in a supervisory role is an asset
• Understanding of safety and other applicable laws
• Strong interpersonal/organizational and communication skills
• Excellent leadership and team building skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite of Applications)
• Ability to multi-task
• NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit
