Job description:

Production Worker - Forklift Driver / Laborer Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification an asset).
  • Stack, stage, and bundle products in preparation for shipping.
  • Build and secure product pallets in a pyramid style for storage.
  • Load and unload trucks in a safe and timely manner.
  • Assist with cleaning and general maintenance of the production area.
  • Perform basic quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Stage materials according to work order priorities.
  • Rotate between tasks and assist in various areas of the plant as needed.
  • Conduct basic inspections of production and mobile equipment.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, maintaining a positive and respectful workplace.
  • Perform other general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Forklift operation experience required; certification preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable transportation — applicants must be able to commute to the facility.

Job Type: Full-time Seasonal up to 10 months

Benefits:

  • Must be able to speak and communicate in English.

Schedule:

  • Day shift (8:00am to 4:30pm) occasional over time

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Nisku, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Working conditions:

· Able to work outside in all weather conditions.

· Manual labour, including bending and lifting, moving and placing boards.

· Working alone throughout the day

· Minimal supervision after initial training

· Working with limited lighting through the winter months

· Able to be on your feet for most of the day, depending on tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 9 months

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
