Job Overview

We are seeking an Apprentice Appliance Technician to join our service team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of household and commercial appliances. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and experience working in field service environments. This position offers the opportunity to work independently in the field, providing essential repair services to our valued customers using various tools and equipment.

Duties

  • Diagnose appliance issues using schematics and technical manuals
  • Repair and replace faulty components in appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC systems
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex equipment problems
  • Interpret electrical diagrams and schematics for accurate repairs
  • Perform equipment repair and assembly as needed
  • Conduct refrigeration repairs and maintenance when applicable
  • Operate box trucks for delivery and service appointments
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in appliance repair, service technician roles, or related field service positions
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in refrigeration, HVAC, electrical systems, and equipment repair
  • Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams effectively
  • Prior delivery driver experience with box trucks is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Relevant certifications or training in appliance repair or HVAC are a plus

Job Type: Apprenticeship

Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
