Our client is seeking a contract based Senior QA Automation Engineer to support the design and development of their digital initiatives. This role will provide automation expertise across web, mobile, and API testing.

Duration: 8 months + ext

Location: On-Site Toronto

Responsibilities:

  • Support automation system testing and deployment testing, including test data preparation, test specifications, test conditions, test cases, execution, analysis, reconciliation of results, and defect resolution
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts aligned to project test plans
  • Develop and enhance automation test frameworks, reporting, and reusable components
  • Troubleshoot automation script failures and support root-cause analysis
  • Review requirements and technical design documents and provide timely, actionable feedback
  • Validate business and technical use cases through high-confidence automated test coverage
  • Track and communicate task progress, testing status, risks, and key performance metrics
  • Participate in issue triage and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and vendor teams to drive resolution
  • Support remediation efforts through targeted test execution and troubleshooting
  • Provide go-live and post-deployment automation testing support as required
  • Deliver timely and accurate communication of daily status, testing events, and execution results

Requirements:

  • 7+ years
    of experience supporting automation system testing and deployment testing
  • 7+ years
    of experience in
    Web Automation and Digital Testing
    (web and mobile applications)
  • 7+ years
    of experience in
    API Automation testing
  • 7+ years
    of experience working in
    Agile delivery environments
  • Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks, scripts, and reports
  • Proven expertise troubleshooting automation script errors and test failures
  • Experience validating complex business and technical workflows
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and external vendors
