Colony Account Manager

Are you someone who understands the agricultural landscape of rural Manitoba, has strong connections and wants to work with a key customer group? We are seeking a motivated individual to serve and grow the business of Hutterite colonies and other agricultural producers across the province. In this role, you'll combine relationship-building, technical feed/nutrition knowledge and a service-first mindset to help our customers (and your territory) succeed.

Your Role

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will:

  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with Hutterite colonies and other producers, becoming a trusted advisor and partner.
  • Promote and sell a full range of livestock feed products (poultry, swine, dairy, beef) tailored to the specific needs of colony operations.
  • Work closely with our internal teams (nutritionists, logistics, technical support) so that our feed programs meet the rigorous operational and efficiency standards of our customers.
  • Make regular on-farm visits: understand herd/flock health, production systems, barn/farm layouts, and offer practical and value-added feeding solutions.
  • Prepare and present feed program proposals, conduct trials, and guide customers through implementation and results measurement.
  • Represent Masterfeeds at agricultural trade shows, colony-producer meetings and industry events; becoming a visible face of the brand in rural Manitoba.
  • Keep clear, accurate records of all sales activity, customer interactions, and feed delivery details.
  • Exceed annual growth targets for your territory while maintaining and strengthening customer loyalty and satisfaction.

What You Bring

  • Prior experience in agriculture sales or livestock feed/distribution; experience working with Hutterite colonies or a strong understanding of their operations is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of livestock production systems (poultry, swine, dairy, beef) and the ability to speak confidently about feed programs and nutrition.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: able to build trust, communicate clearly and respectfully with customers who have communal business models and long-term relationships.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in a large rural territory.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively throughout Manitoba, with a valid driver's licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage your time effectively; taking on-farm visits, follow-ups, customer service, and sales activities with minimal supervision.
