Job Description:

The Associate, Property Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day property management coordination and, critically, the meeting of apartment leasing objectives for the business as directed by the Vice President of Operations.

Leasing:

  • Assist in the development, preparation, posting and management of all tenant advertising and showings to achieve leasing targets.
  • Support timely and accurate completion of and entry of all leasing documentation, including application forms, tenancy agreements, renewal agreements, and other supporting documentation internally
  • Provide communications for prospective tenants prior to move in and move out
  • Ensure units are completely ready for tenants to move in on the agreed upon date

Property Management:

  • Utilize Basecamp project management software for managing and coordinating tasks
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors working at properties
  • Any other duties as requested by the Vice President of Operations

Success Profile:

  • Commanding communication presence, consisting of excellent verbal and written communication skills that deliver insight and drive results
  • Ruthless prioritization of top tasks and the maximization of time management
  • Rigorous attention to detail and an intolerance for oversight
  • Aggressive contributor to team wins, even in areas outside of position requirements; holds peers to the same high standards of excellence one holds for oneself

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum - High School Diploma (Grade 12)

Hours of Work:

  • 30 hours per week, 4-5 days per week, within the hours of 9 AM to 6 PM on-site in Owen Sound
  • Must be available for showings periodically after 6 PM, or on weekends during peak leasing periods, and for tenant move-ins and move-outs
  • Hours of work may change depending on seasonality and leasing demands

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
