What You'll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC's Cybersecurity, Third Party and Resilience (CTPR) team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality reporting that supports CTPR and contributes to the strategic objectives of the Chief Security Office (CSO). You will work closely with senior leaders and internal partners across CTPR, CSO, TI&I, and other cybersecurity stakeholders to gather, analyze, and present timely and accurate information. Your efforts will ensure that decision-makers have the insights they need to manage risk and drive business priorities. We are seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative professional who excels at building relationships, streamlining information flows, and providing valuable reporting to strengthen CIBC's overall governance and security posture.

How You'll Succeed

  • Stay Ahead of Industry Change- Continuously monitor global developments in cybersecurity, third-party risk, and operational resilience. Provide informed input into executive reporting, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and risk appetite.
  • Governance Leadership- Support key enterprise governance forums focused on cybersecurity, third-party risk, and operational resilience. Prepare and deliver clear, relevant content to educate and inform Senior Management and the Board on critical security topics. Engage with stakeholders across the organization to identify needs and develop a robust pipeline of security-related content for ongoing governance activities.
  • Leadership & Communication – Collaborate with senior leaders and internal teams by maintaining open, timely, and transparent communication. Tailor messages for clarity and alignment with governance goals, and implement structured processes for data collection with clear expectations and proactive follow-ups. Demonstrate the value of governance by linking initiatives to business outcomes and risk mitigation. Continuously refine collaboration by soliciting feedback, fostering strong cross-functional relationships, and leveraging information to effectively influence and support organizational objectives.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 5 years of experience in information security. You are a collaborative and strategic professional with a strong ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. You possess strong organizational awareness and in-depth knowledge of CTPR, CSO, TI&I, and other key cybersecurity partners across the Bank.
  • You communicate with clarity and purpose, tailoring your approach to suit diverse audiences and ensure alignment with governance objectives.
  • You are organized and proactive, you excel at developing structured processes to gather and leverage information efficiently.
  • You are committed to continuous improvement, seeking feedback and adapting your approach to enhance collaboration. You consistently demonstrate integrity, influence, and a results-oriented mindset in every interaction.
  • You hold a university degree, which has provided you with a solid academic foundation and critical thinking skills essential for navigating complex governance and risk management environments. Any of the following certifications would be an asset: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). CISA – Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), CISM – Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), ISSEP – Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)
