Accounting Technician

The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Technician to support our growing

finance team. You'll manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable,

receivable, reconciliations, and support financial reporting. Working closely with our Financial

Controller, you'll help ensure our books are accurate, our processes efficient, and our financial

foundation strong as the company continues to scale.

What You'll Do

Accounts Payable & Receivable


• Process invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and on time.


• Track and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.


• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or receipts.


• Maintain organized documentation for all A/P and A/R activity.

Bookkeeping & Reporting


• Record and classify transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).


• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.


• Assist with month-end closings and journal entries.


• Support the preparation of financial statements and internal reports.

General Accounting Support


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.


• Help streamline accounting workflows and improve internal processes.


• Collaborate with the Financial Controller and cross-functional teams to support business

goals.

What We're Looking For


• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role.


• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Excel, and general accounting tools.


• Strong understanding of A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Comfortable working with numbers and performing financial analysis.


• A proactive mindset, someone who enjoys improving processes and staying ahead of

deadlines.

Job Details

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Experience: 1–3+ years

Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 per year

Reports To: Head of Finance
