We're hiring an Instagram Specialist to own and grow @therealjoannawiebe on Instagram. We've seen cool, quick growth on YouTube, and we're ready to get the same (or better) on Instagram, driving followers that fill our ManyChat / Revio funnel with stellar leads. That's where you come in.
You will drive our
Instagram planning, execution (content "creation"), publishing, reporting and results. And you will use AI to do 75% of the job... so you can totally nail the 25% that AI cannot do.
INSTAGRAM PLANNING
We'll hand you the strategy. You'll then own our Instagram planning and content calendar. Use your experience on Instagram (and other short-form content channels) along with training we provide and trend-tracking tools to develop day plans that ladder up to our targets and strategy for IG.
- Develop tons of smart content ideas
- Spot patterns in trending IG content, and bring them to the team.
- Build in commenting / ManyChat prompts to drive sell-by-chat leads and wins.
- Use Jo-dot-AI to help you generate ideas based on what Jo would do / say / think.
- Bake in product placements and other incentivized content moments, as needed.
- Set good, better, best targets for engagement and subscriber growth.
Keep in mind:
80% of what we do should be what we know works; 10% should be an interesting experiment; and 10% should be totally out there, big swing stuff.
INSTAGRAM EXECUTION
AI will be a huge part of this area of responsibility. Your job is not to be a doer; it's to be an ideas person who can get killer work done like a champ, with tech. Because you're producing as many as 60 pieces of content for IG a month, you simply must use AI where it makes sense.
- Twice a month, create an informed list of 50 great content ideas (reels, carousels, static images, voiceovers, stories, etc) for the CEO, who will shortlist them.
- Create detailed Moment Notes (visual hook, spoken hook, tone, X note to hit, etc) for each content piece, and deliver those to the CEO and the production crew for filming. Make it easy for the CEO to show up on camera and quickly film what you most want her to film - the more direction you give, the better.
- Edit / Produce videos so they feel organic to Instagram - hook, pacing, music, etc. Bring an experimentation mindset.
- Fill the content calendar, in Sprout Social, for IG with completed Reels. Two a day. This includes writing descriptions, thumbnail optimization, scheduling at optimal times, etc.
- Meet with the CEO weekly to review upcoming content (before publication) and get her approval / make edits.
For content intended to feel organic to iPhone, you'll also be behind the camera.
INSTAGRAM PUBLISHING
Use SproutSocial to schedule Instagram posts. Be available to engage in comments, as a brand rep, after a post is publish. Where live content, like a livestream, is on deck, coordinate the live event end to end. Champion only the best content hitting our page.
INSTAGRAM REPORTING & RESULTS
We do daily, weekly and monthly reporting as a team. Track and share subscriber growth, engagement and performance by format, as well as how those compare to the target for the time period. Work with the team (and agencies / freelancers) to drive more, better growth that generates chats / DMs from good leads. Get ahead of under-performance by being transparent and asking for help. Own outcomes, not just outputs.
You can see that this is not a role for someone who wants to sit at a desk editing videos or to ask the CEO to film cat videos or dances.
It's a role for a person who is fully invested in developing their career, likes focus, loves challenges and wants to be the best in the room. You think strategically and execute with consistency, knowing your work will be measured and your stellar outcomes celebrated. You are proactive and a great communicator. You really dig teamwork, but you also like working independently. And you're skilled in the technical parts of this job: video editing software, basica analytics, social listening, chat/DM software, LLMs and AI.
Although this role allows work-from-home, at this time, you are required to be on-site with the CEO (and others, like production folks), typically two days a week. So you must be based in Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon or the area and be willing and able to drive.
