Range Mobility, Inc. is a leading supplier of automotive accessories and general fleet maintenance and mechanical repairs. Our focus is fleet based clients such as Police, EMS, Fire, Oil and Gas. Our shop is currently seeking a motivated journeyperson mechanic to lead & work alongside apprentices. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude to join our fun work environment.

Requirements:

  • Automotive Service Technician (AST) journeyman, red seal or equivalent, able to mentor apprentices.

  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, crouch, kneel and work in tight spaces.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

  • OHS understanding and ability to uphold the COR certification and processes.

  • Alberta class 5 driver's licenses (or equivalent), must be able to provide a clean driving abstract.

  • Must have the ability to pass a police background check.

  • Positive attitude, able to work in team situations

Job Summary;

  • Intake, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of client vehicles. Road test vehicles pre/post repairs

  • Lead, mentor and supervise a team, taking a hands-on approach to problem-solving and completing the required maintenance

  • Work directly with vendors and clients to ensure all scheduled maintenance requirements are met and quality standards are achieved

  • Work order notes, parts documentation and tracking, stakeholder communication, and status updates.

  • Safely operate a 4 and 2 post hoist

  • Ensure the shop is kept clean, equipment is properly maintained and, locked up and secured as needed.

  • Shuttle vehicles on and off the property as required.

  • Must comply to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
