Duties

  • Perform order picking using RF scanners and pick systems to accurately fulfill customer orders.
  • Load and unload shipments with the use of forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment, ensuring safe handling at all times.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods for quality and accuracy, and documenting all transactions.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, update stock records, and optimize storage space.
  • Conduct materials handling tasks such as stacking pallets, organizing inventory racks, and maintaining a clean work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating load & unload operations efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist with construction or maintenance tasks as needed using mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment skills.
  • Ensure proper use of safety equipment and adherence to OSHA regulations during all operations.
  • Participate in regular safety audits, equipment inspections, and warehouse audits to uphold high standards of safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
  • Valid certification or experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment required for safe operation.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and pick systems for accurate inventory control.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards relevant to warehouse environments.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
  • Prior experience in construction or with heavy machinery is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and load & unload procedures.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
