Position is for a Commercial Transport Trailer Mechanic.

Located close to the Pitt River bridge, our Kingsway Ave location in Port Coquitlam specializes in commercial transport trailer, and container repairs.

Only red seal or certified candidates will be accepted for this position.

At this time, we will not be accepting level 1 or level 2 heavy duty applicants.

Common trailer repairs will include brakes, lights, landing gear, bumpers, springs, suspension and air ride systems. We also repair containers. Experience welding steel and aluminum required. Common container repairs are fabrications, patches, roof and side panels, barn doors, softwood and hardwood flooring. Candidate will work in the shop but will also be required to go on mobile service calls for repairs. Must be able to document work completed.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Physical coordination and the ability to engage in physical activity for the task at hand is required to carry out duties of the position
  • Team member will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Will maintain a safe work area, adhere to policies and procedures, and participate in a healthy safety culture
  • Basic tools expected, specialty tools provided.
  • Only applicants with welding and torching experience will be considered at this time.
  • Some heavy lifting required
