Job Summary

Joe Meloche Ford is seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate is a licensed professional who takes pride in their workmanship, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles while upholding Ford and dealership standards for quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and inspections
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, scan tools, and service information systems to identify vehicle issues efficiently
  • Complete repairs in a timely manner while meeting dealership productivity and quality standards
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines, repair procedures, and safety protocols at all times
  • Accurately document all work performed, including parts used and labor times, on repair orders
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding vehicle conditions, recommended repairs, and completion timelines
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology and Ford systems
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Provide a high level of professionalism and customer-focused service

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Automotive Service Technician License 310S
  • Previous experience as an automotive service technician, preferably in a dealership environment
  • Ford experience and/or Ford certifications considered an asset (but not required)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with modern automotive systems and electronic diagnostics
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including standing, lifting, and working with tools throughout the day
